ULP Labs in Irvine has an amazing Molecular Biology 1 course with a super knowledgeable and friendly instructors who makes everything easy to follow. The labs are really fun and give you a lot of hands-on experience that helps you actually understand what you’re learning. I would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in science because it was such a great experience!

ULP provided a great introductory-level course in biotechnology that was suitable for a wide range of ages. Among other things, the class explored the use of practical biotech tools, the process of staining cells for viewing under a microscope, and a method to extract DNA from cells. Instruction was clear and easy to follow, and the class went at a good pace and was enjoyable and informative. (The photos show cells being shown under a microscope.)
