The University of Arizona

My experience with the UofA has been absolutely terrible. Many of the classes I had made me extremely claustrophobic due to dozens of students being crammed into a very tiny room. It's a coinflip to see if the class required for your degree is even available, because they seem to vanish from the semester catalogue at random. Parking is also a nightmare, as the UofA seems to have a complete lack of affordable options. Expect to be towed at some point or be late to class frequently, unless you are willing to shell out hundreds for a parking pass (even then, the lots fill up quickly and you'll often find yourself out of luck). I will say that the academic advisors I met were usually very lovely and helpful. The staff at the bursur's office, on the other hand, seem to be completely incompetent at their jobs. Every time I send an email asking for help with an issue, the people completely ignore what I've said and give a response that is totally unrelated. You'd think that their reading comprehension would be a bit sharper by now, given how many students struggle with the online payment system. Even if you do everything right, the staff in the office make frequent clerical errors and then charge you an extra fee for THEIR mistakes. I do not recommend this institution to anybody. Save yourself the trouble and apply to Pima or ASU online instead.

Went in February so temperature was very nice and manageable! Cold on first day in the morning (high 30s) all the way back up to 70s on our last day! Absolutely gorgeous campus.

Haven't been to the campus in nearly 30 years. Really enjoyed the campus tour and orientation for freshman. The staff and volunteers made for a great experience for parents and students. Best wishes to all the students...have a blast!

My experience with the University of Arizona has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. After deciding to completely withdraw, I followed every required step – I withdrew from all my classes, notified my advisors, contacted Financial Aid and Admissions, and even submitted the official Cancel Admission form. Despite doing everything correctly, I’m still being billed for a semester I’m not attending and for financial aid I never accepted. Every time I reach out for help, I get bounced from department to department with no real answers. No one seems able or willing to take responsibility or give clear guidance. Instead of resolving the issue, they just repeat information I already know and send me in circles. This lack of communication and accountability has caused unnecessary stress and is now affecting my ability to move forward with other educational opportunities. For a large university, the administrative process is shockingly disorganized and unhelpful. I expected far better support and professionalism. I would not recommend dealing with this institution if you can avoid it.
