I was sent to shoot facade images at a crane rental yard with instructions to fly 20 ft AGL and 45 ft from the wall. When I arrived, cranes were parked exactly where they told me to fly. Following their parameters would have meant flying into heavy equipment. I adjusted safely, captured clean images, and even generated a 3D model. They rejected it anyway — then asked for a reshoot at a lower rate after I documented why their requested flight path was physically impossible. Support feels automated and disconnected from real-world field conditions. After travel, time, and liability, the pay can drop below minimum wage. It’s surprising major companies like Prologis work with them. Undercutting pilots like this damages the industry and devalues professional services. Drone pilots — especially new ones — be cautious.

One of the worst companies i had tondeal with. It seems like this company is being run by 5 year olds. They are incapable of providing clear instructions for the missions. It leaves room for interpretation and in thr end missions need to be repeated. This year the completely changed the way missions are flown. It requires more work and training. Training was not provided and the same time thr payout for each mission is drastically lower. Each time you send email with questions, the replies coming from different person a day each support person replies differently. That adds more confusion. This will be my last year with them. I am also g to waste my time and risk my equipment flying unprofessionaly prepared missions. DO BETTER

One of the worst corporations one could work with. Unprofessional, doesn’t book keep properly, and they’ll pass you on to someone else. No accountability with their corporate mess they’ve set up. I would highly recommend to stay far away from this company, on both sides of the deal.

Having better real-time customer service for pilots would help a lot. I think this company has a lot of potential, but there are a few things to still put together before it's seen as trustworthy or reliable.

After being a tolerant pilot for a long time, I have finally given up on DroneBase/Zeitview. Yes I was a pilot since they were DroneBase. Here's why. 1. Their website is one of the worst I've ever seen. Half of the stuff is still branded with DroneBase even after being purchased by Zeitview. Also the layout and UI needs a LOT of work. There is no way to access the training section that is required to get certain missions. Training must be accessed with a separate link that must be emailed to you. Also when you click on "Client Mission", there is no way to see available missions. It just gives you instructions on how to complete your account, even years later. 2. The pay as a pilot is ridiculously low. I've watched missions get added for as low as $50, only to slowly increase the price until somebody finally takes it. Why is the price for pilots a race to the bottom? I've seen missions go up for $70, and then I've emailed them saying I will take it for $150. Days later they gave it to me for $150 after nobody else took it. I recently did not complete a job after it was so poorly formatted it could not be completed. I also found out that they wanted 4+ hours of work requiring 5 or 6 batteries flying TWO automated missions, and one manual facade capture. They wanted all of this for $150. $150 for 4 hours of a licensed pilot's time with a very expensive tool is a joke. 3. There are no jobs. The only jobs available are for commercial real estate jobs, and they still pay pennies. These are landlords or developers who hire Zeitview instead of paying for a real drone photographer. 4. The way they communicate with pilots is beyond confusing. I've had multiple "employees" reach out to me about the same mission asking me to confirm details with a secret code word. And everytime I talk to someone it seems to be a different email address and person. I suspect they hire people part time to answer emails at home instead of having full-time real employees. 5. Their app and software is embarrassing. My drone will literally not connect to the "fly" part of their app, while it is simultaneously connected to DJI Fly. Because of this, I am unable to complete a training mission that I started in summer of 2022, and it is still sitting in my account as "in-progress". Their website and app interface is embarrassing overall. In my most recent mission they wanted me to download and pay for Pix4D because their software doesn't work. Also in all of the training, Zeitview tells you NOT to solicit further services while onsite as the client BELONGS to Zeitview, which I think is hilarious. Zeitview, if you are going to charge clients premium prices and pay your pilots pennies, at least invest in some good software. Pilots, I would recommend not wasting your time.
