Thanks to Webre Consulting, my general contracting building construction company is a certified woman-owned Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) through the Louisiana Unified Certification Program (LAUCP) which is processed through the Louisiana Department of Transportation (LaDOTD). Webre Consulting handled compiling and submitting all of the paperwork necessary for the DBE Certification. They guided me through what is a somewhat complicated and unfamiliar DBE certification process. The DBE certification is a benefit to my clients and their construction projects because my construction company meets eligibility requirements for local and state tax incentive programs and grants that require DBE participation, like the Restoration Tax Abatement program (RTA) and local and state government contracts! Webre Consulting has also assisted me with zoning, permitting, and building code compliance for various construction projects. They are extremely knowledgeable and responsive. Navigating the city process to apply for a Conditional Use requiring the Neighborhood Participation Process (NPP) can be daunting. Webre Consulting handled our neighborhood outreach with ease and was successful in getting approval for the Conditional Use for Neighborhood Commercial Establishment and an occupational license for my office space. They were precise in knowing and understanding what the office space would need for State Fire Marshal and building fire safety code compliance. I am grateful to Webre Consulting for handling this process and helping me bring a vacant space back into commerce. I would recommend Webre Consulting for any process requiring the city’s NPP and land use application processes.

Webre Consulting has been instrumental in the redevelopment of our home, which included demolition of a non-contributing building behind our home, re-subdivision of the lot, waivers through the Board of Zoning Adjustments, Historic District Landmark Commission, permitting for the renovation of our historic home, site development planning and permitting of a second property behind our home. At every step, Nicole created thoughtful and clear strategies, including coordination with our design team and contractor. She was a ray of light in an otherwise overwhelming, and bleak entitlement process that could’ve gone awry at any point. She went out of her way to make our project a success. Nicole and her staff were responsive and proactive from day 1. She handled the demolition of former warehouse buildings that I own in a Historic District and went about it thoughtfully and strategically. I had anticipated a long drawn-out demolition approval and hearing process but Nicole was able to ascertain the issue and proceed without haste to receive approval for the warehouses' demolition based on her coordination with a structural engineer, inspection, and structural report providing ample evidence and documentation needed for Historic District and Safety and Permits approvals for emergency demolition. She worked diligently with a structural engineer who confirmed the buildings were in imminent danger of collapse and her relationships and understanding of City Hall enabled the quick demolition permit and Certificate of Appropriateness approvals necessary to remove the collapsing structures. I look forward to working with her in the future and on the development of the site through planning and zoning. Her knowledge, experience and diligence enabled the expedient removal of the structures to make way for new life and potential of my property.
