The Nectar Group

Finding The Nectar Group has changed my daughter's academic path! When struggles started showing up around 4th grade, I looked into hiring a tutor to help her, but never pulled the trigger on it. I found the Nectar Group and learned about cognitive skills and neuroplasticity and knew I had to get my daughter tested. The Nectar Group is unique in that they can test the underlying cognitive skills to determine why a student is struggling academically, then fix any deficits they find. We discovered my daughter had an auditory processing disorder, which we probably never would have discovered without The Nectar Group. Through their cognitive therapy, we were able to remediate this disorder. The great thing about The Nectar Group is, once you have fixed the underlying deficits, they offer tutoring and homework help to fill the academic gaps left by their struggles, which we utilized for my daughter. She attends Florida public schools. She always struggled with the state assessments and we'd breath a sigh of relief when she'd eek out a pass on the final assessments at the end of the year. At the end of last year, she scored her first 4 ever, and this year, she already scored a passing score of 3 on the beginning of the year assessments! She'd usually score a 1 or 2 on those. As a parent, it's such an amazing feeling to have that little bit of anxious worry about these assessments go away. And for my daughter, to get that 4 last year was the confidence booster she needed to know that she is absolutely capable of the work she's given. And it gets even better! We are now onto their Skills Build program, where she is learning how to be an organized, prepared student. She is in 7th grade and has to balance seven classes. She is learning how to use a planner, how to take notes and study, how to organize herself physically and mentally, and how to advocate for herself with her teachers. Her coach helped her write her first email to a teacher to find out about some missing assignments that were hurting her grade, which is something I never would have done with her! Our experience with the Nectar Group has been amazing and I am forever grateful we found them. Their unique ability to pinpoint the causes of learning struggles is what sets them apart from tutoring and other programs. My daughter is a much more confident student who is reaching her full potential now. She's loved all her coaches and sees the benefit of all the work she's doing. If your child has even the slightest challenge, I highly recommend taking that first step and getting them assessed by The Nectar Group.

When I first heard a presentation from The Nectar Group on dyslexia at a conference I received quality and helpful information and I was very encouraged. I felt confident that they would individualize a program to fit my sons exact needs and they did. The testing Nectar does before and after helped me to see exactly what my son needed, some things I already knew but some things I didn't and it was a relief to know my son would get the help his brain needed! My son LOVED his Nectar classes and coaches! He was actually sad when he finished the program! It has been about a month since we finished the program and I feel like I am homeschooling a different child! He is reading - on his own - for fun!!!! He's still got a ways to go to catch up academically to his grade level but I am confident that he is capable of doing it now. He is so much more emotionally regulated, he hasn't had a big blow up that ends work for the day since about half way through the program. He's remembering things that he was never able to remember before! I don't want to oversell, as Nectar is not a miracle company, but the work that they did allowed my son to be able to finally unlock the part of him that was always there, it just couldn't get through before! I've attached a picture of a thank you note that my son decided completely on his own to write to his coaches after his program was over. The fact that my son chose voluntarily to write anything is a small miracle in an of itself! I hope that this helps you if you are on the fence. For our family it was 100% worth the cost and I am so thankful that we used The Nectar Group!

I would highly recommend The Nectar Group! Our son, 11, has struggled with math since he started school. He also struggled with keeping attention long enough to follow instructions without distraction or forgetting what he was doing. I was constantly repeating myself and we were both frustrated, especially when completing school work. I prayed a lot about what to do- should we try medicine, just keep pushing through, was there something else?? I didn't know. I attended a homeschool conference where the director of Nectar held many breakout sessions on cognitive function. When she was describing kids who had improved with their program, I felt like she was perfectly describing my son's struggles. I sensed this may be an answer to prayer, so I followed up after the trip. After 4 months of cognitive training, my son rarely asks me to repeat myself again, he understands and follows through with instructions the first time, he's not crying daily over math (maybe twice a month now, which I feel is just normal!), and he's more confident in his ability to process and follow through with school. I am so thankful for Nectar's help in getting him to this place- I can't believe there are actually brain activities you can do to improve its function! In addition to the improvement, Nectar employees were so helpful and on top of things. They responded promptly to my questions, were super encouraging, and also knowledgeable in explaining test results, etc. Competence, kindness, and promptness from all staff. I would spend the money all over again to help my child have an easier time in school and life! It's completely worth it, and I'm so thankful to God for answering our prayers for help through Nectar. Shout out to two of my kid's favorite coaches, Mrs. Jennifer and Mrs. Vanessa! They were so patient, loving, and fun!

We had a fantastic experience with the Nectar Group! The help they were able to provide our daughter (age 15) exceeded our expectations. She has been diagnosed with dyslexia and dysgraphia and struggled greatly with math, science, and retaining school work in general. I discovered The Nectar Group at a homeschool conference and was very impressed with their holistic approach to helping people with learning differences. They provided a thorough evaluation of our daughter, and recommended 6 weeks of intensive coaching. She grew leaps and bounds through the coaching. We saw improvement in her auditory processing, memory, and ability to learn math and science facts. But I'll sum up her experience in her own words: "I feel like the Scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz; I needed a new brain and got one!" Her confidence has grown so much. This investment was one hundred percent worth it, and my husband and I plan to have two of our sons go through coaching as well.

The Nectar Group spoke at a convention I attended and I was amazed by their knowledge of neuroscience and their focus on the development of young minds. My wife and I had all 3 of our children assessed and set up for intervention. Our children have loved every minute, from the coaches to the training. We did a lot of research going in but The Nectar Group far exceeded our expectations. Within a few short months we saw a giant leap in our children's education and ability to focus and most importantly we saw their spark for learning grow! We love how excited they are to learn as they overcome any challenges they have or had. One of our children has ADHD and to see him thrive has been such a gift! We knew they had potential but watching Nectar unlock it has been incredible. We cannot recommend Nectar enough! We are beyond impressed. Not to mention our children wish they never had to graduate the program because they love it so much.
