OSC Tech Lab

I've been working from home for 6 years and finding the desire/need to get back in an office situation a couple days a week to collaborate and also just not be at home all the time. I ran the idea of shared office space by my manager and we got approval for the four of us who work remotely in the area. We looked around and OSC Tech Lab looked like a great location. We met with Nick and got a tour of the facilities and signed up on the spot. We've been coming in two days a week for a while now. It's been a huge boost in productivity for me personally. I use one of the standing workstations. The conference room is great for when we have group calls. The atmosphere is friendly and very conducive to getting work done. So far all the other tenants have been great and really easy to work around. The tech lab keeps locally roasted coffee brewed, which is a nice touch. Being in downtown Akron is cool, too -- with places to eat and opportunities for cycling at lunch when the weather is better. I'm really happy with the place and it seems my co-workers are as well.

I had never thought that I needed a co-working space, until I tried it. With a 19 month old infant at home, it's very difficult to concentrate, so I took the leap of faith and tried it for a month. I quickly realized that there were more advantages than just a place to work. I am able to better separate work and home life. I can more easily get into two different frames of mind. I can focus better because there are no distractions, and the fact that I don't work at the same company as other people actually helps keep me focused because you don't have any work chat stuff. Finally, I love being downtown, taking breaks to walk, with access to great places for lunch, coffee, etc. I love the OSC Tech Lab. Great facility. Great coffee. I would recommend it to anybody thinking about checking out a co-working space.

A great place to work. Quiet and clean space, friendly people, super fast wifi, and free coffee. A very nice, cozy vibe :)

My small remote development team was looking for a centralized location to meet, work, and collaborate. Starbucks and the library were not providing us the necessary environment to be productive. We turned to OSC Tech Lab and have been overwhelmed with the environment of the office space, the friendliness of the OSC Tech Lab team and current tenants, and the location of the building. Being in the middle of downtown Akron is perfect for lunch, after work happy hour, and just taking a walk. Since the team has been meeting in the Akron office I have seen productivity rise, software release cycles move smoother, and more camaraderie between the team. For the price we pay I have received 10 fold return with this opportunity.

I needed a space to work remotely while in town visiting family and OSC Tech Lab was perfect. I work with large files and the wifi connection held up without a problem. The location is conveniently located, comfortable and well-equipped, and the people were really nice. I'm very glad to have found it and will likely be back again soon!
