Mindfish Test Prep

Our son is doing ACT prep with Casey McKenna at Mindfish and its been a really great experience so far. Casey is flexible and established a nice rapport with Vincent. We are very grateful to work with him and would recommend him highly to others looking for ACT prep. When our son (junior at Boulder High) was struggling with Calculus, Ben Tweedlie at Mindfish was amazingly helpful. We have a daughter who is a sophomore at CU Boulder in Chemical Engineering who we realized could also use a tutor for Calculus. My 16 year old found out she was going to see Ben also and said "oh you'll really like him. He's great. He's funny and very helpful at explaining things." Folks, if that doesn't say it all I don't know what does. I tried to act cool, but as a parent, its nice to hear your teenager really likes their tutors. We are very happy to have found Mindfish.

My son has been taking tutoring math classes with Ben at Mindfish!! He is on Honors Math at a private school in California and his math work is pretty intense. Ben has been awesome on clarifying concepts with him and making him more attentive on details. Our daughter has also had tutoring SAT classes with Mindfish and we highly recommend, she improved her score in more than a 120 points.

My son worked with Nate Ycas and had a great experience. He raised his score from a practice 29 and a first real attempt 32 to a perfect 36 score in math and reading, and 35 overall without the super score. Not only that he had good communication and a practical approach that focused on the gaps and steadily kept him improving without being overwhelming with hours of prep. I found the program very worthwhile and Nate in particular a wonderful tutor with great demonstrated outcomes for the ACT.

We could not be more appreciative of all that Mindfish and Erin Nakayama did to help my son with his SAT. He has always scored well in math but he knew he was going to need help on the English section to get his SAT to a competitive score that would allow him to be considered at selective universities. We had our initial meeting with Ryan Krug, who gave my son a detailed plan on how he could improve his score. We used his notes that provided ways he could boost his vocabulary on his own and signed up for 20 hours with Erin. She was incredibly effective - she always challenged him and he stayed consistent with the homework that she assigned him on a weekly basis. He took the SAT in April and received a high score. He wanted to take it one more time just to see if he could push it up a bit more. He signed on for one more month with Erin for the May SAT and he scored 90 points higher! We are forever grateful for the guidance and confidence she gave our son. We cannot recommend Erin enough!

I work with Ben through Zoom calls, and it has helped me a lot. He explains concepts clearly and makes sure I understand each step, which has helped me stay ahead of the class. Getting extra practice and going over material before it’s covered in school has made a big difference. I would definitely recommend him to anyone taking Calculus III.
