Iowa Workforce Development

The website said the address was 1000 E Grand in Des Moines. Walked in was given a business card for 525 SW 5th for correct location. This location is very hard to find even with gps! The loft apts are at 300 SW 5th, then 319 then the numbers go backwards 119 SW 5th?!?! If you're going to Iowa Workforce keep going straight past Mercy clinic and it will be on the left hand side of the street.

IWFD is the worst I have ever delt with, no one willing to help with answering questions, when you call in, they say your wait is so many minutes and it stays that same amount of minutes for 10 minutes. Today it started out with 45 minutes hold and 1 hr. later i am still at 18 min. wait time. what a JOKE. The last time I called, I asked the person on the phone if I walked in to a site would it be better for someone to help me. they said yes. I get to iowa workforce development main office they tell they will not help me there, I need to go to another site. so I drove there. walk in and start to explain everything and they said oh they can't help me I need to call this in. Really does anyone at iowa workforce development have any idea what they are doing? the new updated system kicked me out so now I have to refill and start all over. 1 month and still not unemployment check and Iowa workforce development does not understand why. all I hear is excuses. and some will get with you in 48 hrs. we'll 1 week has expired and no one has reached out to me yet. must be nice collecting all that tax payer money and not have to worry about anything. When those of us that need the money can't get it sucks.

Mr.Presidant need to fire all deputies of Unemployment department in state of Iowa. After One month filling for unemployment, My eligibility not only denied but also I was threatened that if I appeal their decision, I would need to pay more. Of course that they do not charge multi billionaire like Amazon which is the only robotic wearhouse in Davenport for intentionally pushing me out of work then after the state contacted them then they emailed me that my job was terminated.

Rip and replace this entire agency. It's garbage not worth the funding.

You should really teach your "customer service representatives" how to actually have customer service. When you first call, you spend five to ten minutes going through an automated system before you can even get to a live person. Then you wait for 30+ minutes for a call back. When my husband finally did get a call back, it was not a good experience. The ladies name was Vicky. Right from the start, she was extremely rude and impatient. She had an attitude for the entire call and was not remotely helpful. No wonder you guys have a 2 star rating. Update... Well, their customer service has not gotten remotely better a year later. My husband filed for unemployment, as his plant shut down for a week, and was not getting anywhere. When we called, the employee was extremely rude and treated us like children. I asked to speak to someone else and he refused. I once again asked to speak with someone else and he cut me off mid sentence, told me he has given us all of the information we needed, then hung up on us. Every single time we have had to deal with IWFD customer service, it has been horrendous and appalling. Your service is a JOKE.
