I participated in a Facebook fundraiser managed by GoodUnited. Although the company did set up the initial parameters in a way that was motivating, the actual execution and customer service was beyond aggravating. I had several questions during the time I was participating in the challenge. When I did get responses it was often referring me to the FAQs, which I had obviously already read and when I did get actual answers they I got were sometimes not particular to my question (for example, a question about wanting to share to a small subset of people received an answer that included a suggestion that I share on my Instagram page). The part that drove me absolutely crazy, and initiated my desire to leave this review, was that over and over again I would be asked if my question had been answered and then the bot would assure me someone would assist me soon. No answer would come, then I would get another prompt to ask me whether I had been helped, then another assurance I would get help. Over and over the same message, sometimes multiple times a day. My problem with the situation is that the ChatBot/Messenger interface was using the logo and the name of the charity. It is a very well-established charity I had had high opinion of, and so I was slowly becoming irritated at the charity itself, although I did know that the management of the fundraiser has been outsourced. I would suggest that serious improvements are needed to reduce automated responses that are repetitive and frustrating to participants. UPDATE: I received a prompt reply to this review. I was provided with answers to my unanswered questions. The reply reflects a commitment to improving their system, and hopefully with time the automation required to run large scale projects will get to the point that the bugs are ironed out. I look forward to trying another fundraiser and will comment again if I do.

A wonderful company built from the ground up to meet underserved and even unknown needs of nonprofits in the donor relations department. If your nonprofit is looking to communicate with current and potential donors using a more human alternative to a chatbot, this solution is definitely worth a look.

I started looking into their platform and I am blown away. They are definitely on the cutting edge donor communication solutions for non profits. I mean it even works with Facebook! If you run a nonprofit then you should definitely check them out.
