I don’t normally submit bad reviews like this for a company but I’m extremely disappointed with G2 and can’t believe how they treat people trying to advance and help their platform. I responded to a promo emailed to me and I was promised $10 Amazon gift cards for completing reviews, only to be told later that my reviews were rejected without clear explanation. Despite initial emails confirming approval, I was left with no compensation and no communication. I spent considerable time on reviews for products I use, like Asana and Gusto, and feel misled and disrespected. G2's lack of transparency and poor customer service is unacceptable. If they can't honor their promises, I won't either. 1/5 stars I'd like to share my experience with G2's review process. I received emails confirming my reviews were approved and I would receive gift cards, but later, without warning, they were rejected. No explanation, no communication. I've reached out to their customer service, but the ticket was closed abruptly. I'm disappointed and feel taken advantage of. To Matthew Gardner and the Director of Client Relations, I hope you address this issue and honor your company's commitments. Fair compensation for time and effort is crucial. I've completed 10 reviews and expect the promised $10 Amazon gift cards as per the promo email. Don't work with G2 until they fix their review process and customer service and treats the people that invested time into their organization with respect.

Review approved, reward promised, then suddenly “moderated” - very misleading I submitted a genuine review on G2 and received an email clearly saying that my review was approved and that I would receive a gift card within 3–5 business days. I waited, but I never received any reward email or link. After that, I checked my G2 profile and raised a support ticket. Instead of getting my reward or a proper explanation, I received another email saying that my review had been “moderated.” This is confusing and frustrating because the review was already approved earlier and the reward was already promised. This whole process feels very misleading and not transparent. First, users are encouraged to write reviews with the promise of rewards, then after approval, the reward never arrives, and suddenly the review status changes to “moderated.” Users spend their valuable time writing honest reviews, but this experience makes the reward system look unreliable and untrustworthy. Based on my experience, I would not trust the reward system at all.

This isn’t an open review system. it’s manipulated and misleading. Avoid this platform; it completely distorts the truth. I no longer trust any review that appears on G2, not even as a reference. ----12/2025 ---- Just adding this here — G2 still avoids giving any real clarification. Don’t bother contacting me. Just read the reviews others left and see for yourself how flawed your system is. And no, I don’t need your $20 gift card. I’m not interested in feeding my opinions into a platform that CENSORS to fit its own agenda. You’ve already wasted far more than $20 worth of my time.

I wrote a review, and it got rejected for being “AI-generated.” Funny, considering G2 has an AI Refine feature right on their site. I never used AI, yet they flagged me—while simultaneously promoting AI tools for writing reviews. Makes perfect sense… if your goal is to confuse everyone.
