DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! We hired Digital Software Labs to build an e-commerce website for our business. The final site took a long time to receive and was nothing like the custom style we discussed—it was very generic. However, we needed to get it launched, so we settled for "good enough for now." We were then upsold on hosting to get the site live quickly. Interestingly, within weeks, our website was hacked. Even though we had not touched anything on our end, aside from logging into the Admin. panel ONCE from our home computer. At that point, we were advised to purchase their monthly maintenance package to resolve the issue, and we paid for a full year in advance. Unfortunately, the website never functioned reliably. Pages and elements would disappear, fonts would change overnight, product categories began sorting incorrectly, and at one point the entire website vanished before later reappearing. These ongoing issues directly impacted our sales and customer trust. Our most recent maintenance requests were submitted in November. After multiple follow-ups with Mike and repeated generic responses of “we’re working on this,” all communication stopped entirely in early December. We have since been completely ghosted. We cannot get a returned call or email from anyone. Yet, we're still owed 8 months of maintenance that was pre-paid. This experience was costly, stressful, and deeply disappointing. Based on our experience, we strongly caution others to proceed carefully before working with this company. BUYER BEWARE!

I hired Digital Software Labs to redesign my website. In addition to the original agreed fee, I was charged $600 for plugins they said were required. In the end, none of those plugins were actually used and the site worked without them, so it honestly felt like I paid for something unnecessary. They have since refused to refund this amount saying it was used for the completion of the site even though all work completed was within the original contract. On top of that, they kept trying to upsell me to their hosting platform, which I later reviewed and found to be heavily overpriced for what it offered. Throughout the project, it felt like they weren’t really listening to what I needed. My requests were overlooked, the work kept being handed off from one person to another, and in the end the project manager didn’t even have a copy of my original contract. The project was supposed to take a few weeks but ended up dragging into months with slow progress and inconsistent communication. When the site was finally finished, it was built with a basic drag-and-drop editor and didn’t feel like a true custom design. Overall, the unnecessary charges ($600 lost), the constant upselling, the long delays, and the lack of attention to detail made this a very frustrating experience. I can’t recommend this company based on what I went through and still trying to handle.

After reviewing many website developers, I chose Digital Software Labs mainly because of how they kept in touch and encouraged me throughout the selection process. I checked other reviews and was impressed with their positive reviews. I was taking an old, static site and completely updating it to an interactive dynamic site. Basically, we started over. I knew what I wanted and nothing about how to make it happen. They held my hand and sometimes even did the work for me remotely. I had a very specific site in mind and worked closely with the team to meet my expectations. I will say it took much longer than I (and the team) expected, but that was mostly due to me not having the assets ready. I changed directions several times - yes, I was a pain for them to work with - but they never complained and continued to work with me to see the site completed to my satisfaction.
